Christiane Jansen

Christiane Jansen (born March 9, 1929 in Duisburg ) is a German- Italian actress .

Life

Christiane Jansen was born in Duisburg and grew up in Düsseldorf . Her father was from Italy. Initially working as a graphic artist, the native Rhinelander was discovered for film in Berlin . She attended drama school and has received regular film offers since the early 1950s. Her first film appearance was in Professor Nachtfalter (1951), where she acted as a student. This was followed by major supporting roles in films such as Primanerinnen (1951), Mikosch einrückt (1952) and Weekend in Paradise (1952). From 1954, the dark-haired actress also turned to television. She became known to a wider audience in the film Ferien auf Immenhof (1957), where she unintentionally causes jealousy as an attractive holiday guest. Most recently, Jansen was in the television series Eight hours are not a day, directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder .

Christiane Jansen was married twice. Their first marriage resulted in daughter Nicole, who was born in 1955. Her second marriage, which she entered into with the film actor Peter Garden , was divorced in 1959.
