Christiane K. Wirtz (born July 5, 1966 in Leverkusen ) is a German journalist , author and coach .

Life

Wirtz grew up in Rheinhessen and studied history, political science and law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . She was - on a scholarship for the University of Haifa - in Israel during the Second Gulf War and reported on it for the SWF (later SWR ), for which she worked for many years as an editor, reporter and presenter. In 2010 she moved to DRadio Wissen in Cologne (now Deutschlandfunk Nova).

Wirtz experienced several psychoses , the last one in the period from 2013 to 2015/16, and made these experiences public in her first book “Beside the Track” (2018). Since then she has been involved as a coach and in public on the subject of mental health and anti- stigmatization . After the publication of her first book she was a guest on the talk shows Markus Lanz , Nachtcafé and Kölner Treff and was featured with guest articles in various newspapers and on online news platforms, gave radio interviews and others. a. for Deutschlandfunk Kultur .

Since 2019 she has been working as a freelance author, coach and lecturer, u. a. for the North Rhine-Westphalian landscape associations LWL and LVR and the University of Göttingen .
