Christina Kehl

Christina Kehl (* 1984 in Bad Mergentheim ) is a fintech entrepreneur in Zurich . In 2013 she co-founded the mobile insurance broker Knip, where she worked as managing director until 2016 . Since 2016 she has been the managing director and member of the board of directors of the fintech industry association Swiss Finance Startups . In 2019, Kehl founded the digital institutional strategy consultancy Pixpolitico , based in Zurich.

Life

Kehl studied law at the Julius Maximilians University in Würzburg , Helsinki and Oxford . At the age of 19 she founded an educational consulting company and used it to finance her studies.

In 2013 she moved to Zurich and worked for Centralway Numbrs ( Numbrs Personal Finance AG ). Together with her colleague Dennis Just , Kehl founded the insurance broker Knip in the same year. In 2015, the company received CHF 15 million, the largest financing ever received by a Swiss fintech startup. In spring 2016, Knip won the Swiss Fintech Award.

In 2014, Kehl founded the Swiss fintech industry organization Swiss Finance Startups (SFS). She left Knip in May 2016 and has since been a member of the board of directors and managing director of SFS. The association won the Swiss Fintech Influencer Award in spring 2017. Kehl also initiated the Swiss Fintech Fair in 2018.

Kehl has been a member of the Advisory Board for Digital Transformation of the Swiss Federal Council since 2017 . In addition, she heads the CAS Digital Insurance course at the HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich .

She is also a fintech columnist for finance and business and, as an author at The Market, illuminates digital society topics.
