Christine Anlauff

Christine Anlauff (* 1971 in Potsdam ) is a German writer.

life and work

After training as a bookseller, Christine Anlauff studied archeology, history and literature in Berlin and Potsdam. In 2005 her debut novel “Good morning Lehnitz” was published, which tells of an autobiographical background of an Abitur class in an NVA barracks during the fall of the Wall . She also received national attention through an essay in the journal Das Magazin , in which she describes how her application for housing benefit was rejected due to insufficient income. In the essay, Anlauff puts forward the thesis that you can feed a family of six with 13.50 euros a day and even be happy with it. Christine Anlauff's work mainly includes entertaining prose, but also poetry and essay as well as radio plays and a play for children. She has received several awards for her work, most recently the 1st German Katzenkrimipreis for her novel "Katzengold".
