Paul Maar scholarship

The Paul Maar scholarship was a literary scholarship to support young authors in children's and youth theater .

The scholarship was founded in 1998 by the children's book and theater author Paul Maar (* 1937). It enabled the scholarship holders to take part in an author's workshop for children's and youth theater at the Federal Academy for Cultural Education in Wolfenbüttel . The authors received additional funding through public readings, participation in author conferences and the transfer of their texts to publishers.

The scholarship, endowed with € 5200 annually , was awarded by the Children's and Youth Theater Center Germany in Frankfurt am Main .

The scholarship program was limited to ten years and was discontinued in December 2008.
