Klaus Nührig

Klaus Nührig (born October 31, 1958 in Wrestedt ) is a German writer and educator.

life and work

After graduating from the Herzog-Ernst-Gymnasium in Uelzen in 1977, Nührig did three months of military service in a barracks in Munster and then one year of community service in a workshop for the disabled . In Göttingen he then studied German, politics and Protestant religion and completed his professional training with a legal clerkship in Braunschweig in 1985/86. From 1998 he trained as a specialist teacher for performing games at the Federal Academy for Cultural Education in Wolfenbüttel. Nührig has worked as a teacher at the grammar school in Groß Ilsede since 1987 and has been teaching at the Julius Spiegelberg grammar school in Vechelde since 2006 . Between 2008 and 2010 he held a teaching position for “ creative writing ” in the social sciences department at the Technical University of Braunschweig for a few semesters .

From 1999 to 2004 Nührig was a board member of the Association of German Writers (VS) in Lower Saxony and Bremen. From 2001 to 2005 he was the first chairman of the Association of German Writers in Lower Saxony and Bremen eV He is a board member of the Society for Contemporary Poetry and a member of the “ Syndikats ”, the association of German-speaking crime writers .

Nührig's literary work includes radio plays, poetry and prose. He lives in Braunschweig .
