Life
Christine Boyer was the daughter and heiress of a wealthy wine merchant from Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume. On May 4, 1794, she married the brother of Napoleon Bonaparte , Lucien Bonaparte (1775-1840; alias Brutus Marathon ), the deputy and later president of the Council of Five Hundred . The wedding took place on the part of Lucien, not least because of the high dowry of Mademoiselle Christine Boyer.
The marriage resulted in four children, of which only the two daughters reached adulthood.
