Christine Charlotte zu Solms-Braunfels (born November 10, 1690 in Greifenstein , † October 16, 1751 in Homburg in front of the height ) was a countess of Solms-Braunfels and, by marriage, Princess of Hesse-Homburg .

Life

Christine Charlotte was a daughter of Count Wilhelm Moritz zu Solms-Braunfels (1651-1720) from his marriage to Magdalene Sophie (1660-1720), daughter of Landgrave Wilhelm Christoph von Hessen-Homburg .

On October 3, 1722, she married Prince Kasimir Wilhelm von Hessen-Homburg (1690–1726) in Braunfels , who died shortly after the birth of the third child of the marriage at the age of 36. In 1727, the Reich Chamber of Commerce in Wetzlar confirmed that she was the reign of her son.

The princess took care of the upbringing of the two children in her residence at Hötensleben . To this end, she appointed the theologian August Friedrich Sack as tutor , who summarized the prince's training in 1729 in his work Conseils d'un ami à jeune homme qui entre dans le monde .

In 1742 her brother Friedrich Wilhelm was raised to the rank of imperial prince and four years later her son became Landgrave of Hesse-Homburg.
