Christo Toschew (born July 13, 1960 in Pazardzhik ) is a former Bulgarian soccer goalkeeper and soccer coach who is currently active at Dersimspor Hamburg .

Career

Toshev began to play football in 1974 at the age of 14 in the local youth club FC Hebar in Pazardzhik . He played in Bulgaria until 1993, mainly for his hometown club, with which he played in both the second and first Bulgarian leagues, and won several national championship titles, before moving to Yukong Elephants in South Korea . After the end of his active career, Toshev started a fashion business that did well until 2008. After his life fell apart, Toschew moved to Germany , where he sold the homeless newspaper Hinz & Kunzt for years as a homeless person in Hamburg . He recently started working as a goalkeeping coach for the Hamburg football club Dersimspor Hamburg . His story has already been reported on NDR and ZDF .

His son Slavcho also played as a goalkeeper in Bulgaria .
