Christof Ebert

Christof Ebert (* 1964 in Stuttgart ) is a German computer scientist and entrepreneur.

Ebert studied electrical engineering and computer science from 1984 to 1990 at the University of Stuttgart and at Kansas State University . In 1994 he did his doctorate at the University of Stuttgart on complexity control in product development. Since 1994 worked at Alcatel , first in Stuttgart, from 1996 in Antwerp and from 2001 in Paris . As director in the area of ​​product development, he had group-wide responsibility for software platforms and technology. He was named a member of the Alcatel Technical Academy for his productivity , systems engineering and product lifecycle management results . In 2007 he founded Vector Consulting Services, where he is partner and managing director.

Ebert is honorary professor at the University of Stuttgart . He is on the board of the "Software Technology " department of the Gesellschaft für Informatik and has authored various specialist books as well as over 150 scientific publications. He is on the editorial committees of IEEE Software and the Journal of Systems and Software and leads the conference series IEEE International Conference on Global Software Engineering (ICGSE). As an IEEE Distinguished Visitor , he focuses on requirements engineering , product management and software engineering .
