Christof Hetmanski (born July 15, 1965 in Tychy ) is a former Polish football player .

Career

Christof Hetmanski's career began at GKS Katowice , where he went through almost all youth stations and then also played in the first team. His sporting highlight during this time was winning the Polish Cup in 1986. In 1989, Hetmanski moved to the Bundesliga for FC 08 Homburg . Despite relegation after just one year, he stayed in Homburg for another year in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the 1991/92 season he played for VfB Lübeck in the fourth-class Verbandsliga Schleswig-Holstein . In 1992, Hetmanski went to VfL Osnabrück before rejoining VfB Lübeck in 1993. After the relegation of Lübeck from the second division, Hetmanski's contract was not extended. After several months without a club, he joined the regional division 1. FC Magdeburg in 1997 . With 1. FC Magdeburg Hetmanski won the State Cup in Saxony-Anhalt in 1998 . By August 2000, he had played 55 point games before Christof Hetmanski had to end his career as a sports invalid due to an open tibia and fibula fracture in the game against VfB Fortuna Chemnitz . He then worked for some time as a junior scout for the Magdeburg team.

From 2002 to 2005 he completed a course in sports management in Düsseldorf , which he successfully completed as a sports specialist . During and afterwards he worked in the marketing department of Union Berlin and scouted for the youth and men’s sector.

In 2006 he moved to Alemannia Aachen as a scout for Eastern Europe. This was followed by positions at Holstein Kiel and subsequently in management at Gornik Zabrze as sports director in Poland. Hetmanski has been working as a youth scout for the Manchester United Academy for Eastern Europe since 2010.
