Christoph Anton von Wolff

Christoph Anton Wolff , from 1867 von Wolff , (born January 17, 1818 in Großgartach , † September 20, 1893 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg politician and senior bailiff .

Life

After finishing school, Christoph Anton Wolff did a three-year apprenticeship at two law firms and then attended the upper secondary school in Stuttgart from 1837 to 1838. From 1838 to 1841 he studied law and political science at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . In 1841 he passed the first and in 1843 the second higher service examination. From 1843 to 1851 he was chief actuary and later government secretary at the Oberamt Ulm , in 1851 he was appointed chief administrator in Biberach .

He took up his first senior civil servant position in 1851 at the Tettnang district office , from 1854 to 1858 he was senior civil servant in Heidenheim and then until 1866 in Esslingen . In 1866 he became head of internal administration at the Stuttgart city office, most recently as a senior government councilor . From 1878 to 1883 he was the district president of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen and from 1883 to 1889 the district president of the Danube district in Ulm. In 1889 Christoph Anton von Wolff retired.

Wolff was a member of the national liberal German party . In 1870, after several unsuccessful candidacies, he was elected to the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament as a member of the Esslingen district, of which he was a member until 1876.
