Christoph Bornmüller

Christoph Bornmüller (born 1983 in Würzburg ) is a German theater actor and director .

Life

Bornmüller grew up in Bamberg. At first he worked as an assistant director at the Landestheater Coburg . He then went to the Berlin School of Drama to study acting . During his studies he made his debut as "Faust" at the Theater and Orchestra in Neubrandenburg / Neustrelitz . He stayed there for two years and worked a. a. with the directors Christoph Schroth and Katja Paryla .

He played z. B. the "Ferdinand" in Schiller's Cabal and Love , "George Pigden" in Ray Cooney's Out of Control , the "Orlando" in Shakespeare's As You Like It etc.

In 2011 he went to the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin . There he was seen as "Faust", "Timon of Athens", as "Leo Bloom" in The Producers and twice as King Ubu . In Schwerin he also began his career as a director with the experiment Church of Erotic Misery . This was followed by Romeo and Juliet on the big stage. In 2014 he received the Conrad Ekhof Prize for his outstanding artistic performance .

From 2014 to 2018 he was a permanent member of the ensemble of the Darmstadt State Theater . He has been part of the ensemble at the Mannheim National Theater since the 2018/19 season. At the end of March 2019 he shone in the lead role of the clown Hans Schnier in the stage version of Views of a Clown at the Nationaltheater Mannheim .
