Christoph Fürleger (born August 24, 1984 in Nördlingen ) is a former German swimmer who is now active as a triathlon organizer.

Career

Christoph Fürleger was active for several years as a swimmer and member of the national team in long-distance swimming over the 5 and 10 km distances, where he was able to record several victories and titles.

Since 2004 he has also been active as a triathlete and he started as a professional athlete since 2007. Fürleger was trained by Susanne Buckenlei and started for the Triabolos Hamburg e. V. His younger brother Martin (* 1986) is also successful as a long-distance swimmer.

In 2013 he announced that he would take over the management of the Allgäu Triathlon together with Hannes Blaschke and other partners as a successor to German Altenried .

As a swimming coach, he looks after the German triathlete and four-time Ironman winner Kristin Möller .
