Kristin Liepold (* 5. April 1984 in Gera as Kristin Möller ) is a German duathlete , triathlete and four-time Ironman -Siegerin (2011, 2013 and 2016).
Career
Kristin Möller practiced athletics, began triathlon in 2007 and completed her first competition over the Olympic distance in Bamberg in 2008 (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).
German champion duathlon long distance 2009
In 2009 she became German champion in the long distance duathlon.
In August 2010 she was third in the Ironman 70.3 European Championship in Wiesbaden.
In July 2011 she won the Ironman UK and achieved a new course record with her winning time in only her third start on the long distance. In September of the same year she followed suit by winning the premiere event of Ironman Wales.
She starts for TV 1848 Erlangen and is trained by Klaus Ludwig . In June 2012 she won her first victory at half the Ironman distance in Italy ( Ironman 70.3 ).
3rd place Ironman European Championship 2013
Kristin Möller was a member of the Abu Dhabi Triathlon Team until it was dissolved in January 2013 . In July 2013 she finished third at the Ironman European Championship in Frankfurt and in October she finished 16th as the best German at the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. In swimming she is supervised by Christoph Fürleger .
At the Ironman European Championship in July 2015 in Frankfurt, she was sixth. In August 2016 she won her fourth race on the Ironman distance in Sweden.
The then 33-year-old announced on social media in November 2017 that she was expecting a baby. Since her wedding, she started as Kristin Liepold . In August 2019 she finished second at the Ironman Tallinn and in October 17th at the Ironman Hawaii .
