Christoph Hagen

Christoph Hagen (born December 28, 1968 in Lauterach ) is an Austrian politician ( TS , formerly BZÖ , FPÖ ) and police officer. Hagen was a member of the Federal Council from 1999 to 2004 and a member of the Austrian National Council from 2008 to 2017 .

education and profession

Hagen attended elementary school in Hörbranz from 1975 to 1979 and in 1979 switched to a grammar school in Bregenz . In 1980 he left grammar school and attended secondary school in Hörbranz from 1980 to 1984. He then learned the trade of retail salesman and completed his apprenticeship in 1988. In that year, Hagen also completed military service. Hagen passed the university entrance qualification test in 2005 and began a correspondence course in law at the University of Linz that same year .

Hagen worked as an office clerk between 1988 and 1990 and in 1990 moved to the Bregenz community security guard. He worked as a gendarmerie officer between 1992 and 2005 and has been an officer of the Austrian Federal Police since the merger of the police and gendarmerie in 2005 . Christoph Hagen is currently in the rank of group inspector .

politics

Hagen has been a local councilor in Hörbranz since 1995 and was a member of the local council between 1995 and 2002. In addition, between 1996 and 2005, Hagen held the position of local party chairman of the Freedom Party of Austria . Hagen represented the FPÖ and the federal state of Vorarlberg between October 20, 1999 and October 4, 2004 in the Federal Council and temporarily held the function of secretary. In the course of the split in the FPÖ, Hagen switched to Alliance Future Austria and ran with it in the 2008 National Council election . He was sworn in on October 28, 2008 as a member of the BZÖ for the regional constituency of Vorarlberg. Private

Hagen is a father of two. He lives in Hörbranz in the Bregenz district and is captain of the Hörbranzer Corpus Christi shooting company.
