Christoph J. Amor

Christoph J. Amor (* 1979 in Innsbruck ) is an Italian Roman Catholic theologian who grew up and lives in South Tyrol ( Bozen ).

Life

From 1998 to 2004 he studied specialist theology and Christian philosophy at the Catholic Theological Faculty in Innsbruck, at the University of Münster and at the PTH Münster . From 2004 to 2006 he completed a doctorate in Catholic theology at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Innsbruck . After receiving his doctorate in November 2006 (topic of the doctoral thesis: Propter nostram salutem - An introduction to the understanding of salvation in Thomas Aquinas ), he was a research assistant at the Institute for Systematic Theology at the Catholic Theological Faculty in Innsbruck from February 2007 to January 2013 .

On March 1, 2013 he was appointed associate professor and on September 1, 2013 full professor for Dogmatic and Ecumenical Theology at the PTH Brixen . In June 2013 he completed his habilitation at the University of Innsbruck and received the license to teach (venia docendi) for the subject of dogmatics. At the PTH Brixen he has also been the director of the Brixen theological courses since September 2014 .

His main research interests are scholastic and neo-scholastic theology, fundamental theology and Karl Rahner.
