Christoph Koch (politician)

Christoph Koch (born October 11, 1954 in Erfurt ) is a German politician . From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt for the CDU .

Education and life

Christoph Koch attended the 10-class polytechnic high school . After an apprenticeship as a skilled worker for communications technology in Erfurt and activity, he worked as a skilled worker for communications technology in Suhl. He later studied theology at the University of Rostock and the theological college in Erfurt, in 1985 he passed the second theological exam in Magdeburg and was ordained a pastor. He worked as a pastor in Hörsingen.

Christoph Koch, who is of Protestant denomination, is divorced and has one child.

politics

Christoph Koch joined the CDU in March 1990 after reunification . Since the local elections in 1990 he was a member of the Haldensleben district council. In the district council he was chairman of the legal committee and a member of the main committee. He was also a member of the Hörsingen community council . He was directly elected to the state parliament in the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990 in the state constituency of Haldensleben (WK 4). In the state parliament he was chairman of the justice committee. In 1993 he became deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.

In 1994 he changed to the authority of the state commissioner for the records of the state security service of the former GDR of Saxony-Anhalt in Magdeburg and later resigned from the CDU. After the dismissal of the State Commissioner Gerhard Ruden on June 14, 2010, he headed the authority as a deputy until April 4, 2013 in the subsequent period of the official vacancy. He submitted his last report in this activity on March 28, 2013.
