Christoph Leuschner

Christoph Leuschner (born December 21, 1956 ) is a German geobotanist and university professor . He is director of the Department of Plant Ecology and Ecosystem Research at the Georg-August University in Göttingen .

After graduating from high school in Hamburg in 1975 , he studied biology and geography at the universities in Freiburg / Br. From 1978 to 1983 . and in Göttingen and graduated with a degree in biology and geography. He completed his studies at the Systematic Geobotanical Institute of the University of Göttingen from 1983 to 1986 with a doctorate . In 1994 he completed his habilitation in botany in Göttingen . Since 2008 he has been a full member of the Academy of Sciences in Göttingen .
