Christoph Lill

Christoph Alexander Lill (born May 12, 1962 in Munich ) is a German orthopedist . His focus is on minimally invasive joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery.

Life

Christoph Lill was born on May 12, 1962 as the son of a doctor in Munich. He attended the Weilheim grammar school there and graduated from high school in 1981.

In 1983 he began studying medicine at the University of Münster . In 1995 he acquired the field title of general practitioner, followed in 1996 by the additional title of chiropractic . In the same year he sat in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Defense Force Hospital, Manama (Bahrain). The stay focused on trauma surgery . In 1997 he received his doctorate in medicine . The doctoral thesis dealt with the possibilities and limits of lymph scintigraphy for the detection of lymph node metastases in colorectal cancer . In the same year he sat in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Groote Schuur University Hospital, Cape Town (South Africa). During this stay abroad, the focus was on arthroscopy . This year he also acquired the rescue service qualification certificate . In 1998 Lill received a research grant at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, AO Fellowship Flinders Medical Center, Adelaide (Australia), which focused on foot surgery. In 1999 he was awarded the additional title of sports medicine , followed by a specialist in orthopedics in 2002, followed by the additional title of physical therapy and special pain therapy in 2003 and 2004 .

From the University of Heidelberg he was appointed as an adjunct professor at the medical faculty, where he has lectured regularly ever since. For several years he has been working as a resident orthopedist in his practice, the OrthoCenter Munich, in cooperation with the Isar Medical Center and the Iatros Clinic.
