Christoph Marcus Bamberger (born July 23, 1965 in Bremen ) is a German doctor for internal medicine and endocrinology , non-fiction author, professor at the University of Hamburg and director of the private Medical Prevention Center Hamburg .

Career

Christoph Bamberger passed his medical state examination in 1991 and became the same year after defending his dissertation The Influence of Immature Astrocytes on Axon Regeneration in the N. opticus of the adult albino rat. A transplant study at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel for Dr. med. PhD . After his internship at the 1st Medical Clinic at Kiel University, he went to the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda (Maryland) , USA, for a two-year research stay in 1993 . There he passed the American state examination. After returning to Germany in 1995 he became laboratory manager at the Institute for Hormone and Reproductive Research at the University of Hamburg. From 1996 to 2003 he was also a research assistant at the Medical Clinic I of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf . In 1999, Bamberger passed the specialist examination for internal medicine. In 2001 he completed his habilitation at the University of Hamburg with the habilitation thesis Investigations on the molecular mechanism of action of the human glucocorticoid receptor and received the Venia legendi as a private lecturer . From 2003 to 2008 he held the first professorship for endocrinology and metabolism of aging in Germany. Since 2006 he has been the director and managing director of the Medical Prevention Center Hamburg . In 2013 he founded Humanicon GmbH, a company specializing in the manufacture and sale of near-natural dietary supplements.
