Christoph Maurus Fuchs

Christoph Maurus Fuchs or Wolfgang Maurus Fuchs , called Maurus Fuchs , (born January 16, 1771 in Tirschenreuth , † June 27, 1848 ibid) was a German art, church and crib painter.

Fuchs was born the son of the painter Vitus (Fux) Fuchs and learned the craft of painting from his father. The focus of the joint activity was the Land of the Abbey .

Fuchs later went to the Egerland , where he created numerous frescoes , including in 1816 in the Teplá monastery and in 1827 in the Tachau Franciscan monastery .
