Christoph Palm

Christoph Martin Palm (born September 1, 1966 in Waiblingen ) is a German CDU politician . From 2000 to 2016 he was Lord Mayor of Fellbach and from 2006 to 2011 a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg.

Life

He is the son of Guntram Palm , a former minister in Baden-Württemberg and also Lord Mayor of Fellbach. He studied in Tübingen 1987-1988 Medicine and 1988-1996 Jura . During his studies he became a member of the AV Igel student association .

From 2000 Palm was Lord Mayor of Fellbach and from 2006 to 2011 a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the CDU. In 2008, he was re-elected as Lord Mayor with 71.2 percent of the vote. He was chairman of the state parliament's special committee "Consequences of the rampage in Winnenden and Wendlingen - youth risk and youth violence".

Due to the decision to transform the Baden-Württemberg state parliament into a full-time parliament from 2011 and the incompatibility of office and mandate (incompatibility), which will apply from 2016, Christoph Palm no longer stood for election in the 2011 state election.

Palm has been deputy chairman of the CDU Rems-Murr since 2010.

On March 2, 2016, Palm announced that he would no longer be available for a third term as Fellbach's Lord Mayor. His term of office ended on November 1, 2016. His successor is Gabriele Zull .

Palm has been the managing director of the Josef Wund Foundation since November 2016 .
