Zuleikha Robinson (born June 29, 1977 in London , Great Britain ) is a British actress .

Life

Zuleikha Robinson grew up in Thailand and Malaysia . In Los Angeles she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts . Robinson has Burmese , Indian , Iranian , Scottish, and English ancestry. In Persian her name Zuleikha means "the beautiful one".

Her first major role was in the 2001 Robinson X-Files - spinoff The Lone Gunmen ; the television series came to a season with 13 episodes in which she was seen as Yves Adele Harlow. This was followed by appearances in films such as Slash - It's Harvest Time or Hidalgo - 3000 Miles to Fame .

In 2007 she played in the second season of the series Rome and completed the ensemble with the role of Gaia, a slave and playmate of Titus Pullo ( Ray Stevenson ). Robinson played Ilana Verdansky in the fifth and sixth season of the series Lost .

In 2012 Robinson starred in the second season of the award-winning series Homeland as a journalist and terror contact woman Roya Hammad. In the short-lived fantasy series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland , a spin-off from Once Upon a Time , she appeared in a recurring role as Amara.
