Max Graser

Max Graser (born March 30, 1902 in Frankfurt am Main , † March 4, 1980 in Fellbach ) was a German politician and Lord Mayor of the city of Fellbach.

Life

Graser studied political science , sociology and psychology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main .

From June 4, 1932 to December 31, 1937, Graser was mayor of Fellbach . On March 21, 1948 he was re-elected mayor. In that year he founded the Fellbach housing cooperative FeWog eG with other members. He held the office of mayor until 1956. In the same year he was appointed mayor. He held this office until he retired on April 30, 1966. In 1964 he signed the document for a town twinning with the municipality of Tain-l'Hermitage in France.

On April 18, 1966, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st Class , for his services . On April 30, 1966, he received honorary citizenship of the city of Fellbach. The Max Graser Stadium in Fellbach was named after him in 1983.
