Christoph Pante

Eberhard Heinrich Christoph Pante (born August 4, 1878 in Wellingen , † March 30, 1960 in Lingen (Ems) ) was a German veterinarian.

Life

Christoph Pante began studying at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover in 1897 and became a member of the Corps Normannia Hanover . In the summer semester of 1899 he switched to the University of Veterinary Medicine in Munich for one semester and joined the Corps Saxo-Thuringia Munich. In December 1901 he received his veterinary license in Hanover . After military service as a one-year volunteer in the East Frisian Field Artillery Regiment No. 62 , he became a veterinarian in Geestemünde in 1903 . In November 1904 he became a general veterinarian in Neuenkirchen . In March 1909 he passed the district veterinary exam in Berlin. In August 1911 he was awarded a Dr. med. vet. PhD. From 1912 until reaching retirement age was a district veterinarian in Lingen. During the First World War he initially served as a staff veterinarian in the Landwehr and later as a regimental veterinarian of the Reserve Field Artillery Regiment No. 20 and as a division veterinarian of the 50th Infantry Division. From 1928 to August 1933, Pante was chairman of the Association of Civil Servants Veterinarians in Prussia. Since 1911 he was married to Frieda geb. Quest.
