Christoph Pincker

Christoph Pincker jun. (* August 16, 1619 in Leipzig ; † May 24, 1678 ibid) was a Saxon lawyer and between 1655 and 1676 a total of eight mayor of the city of Leipzig .

Career

Pincker was the son of the Saxon Chamber and Mountain Council and Chief Accis Inspector Christoph Pincker sen. who worked as a lawyer in Leipzig. Pincker studied law at the Universities of Leipzig and Basel . In Basel he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD. Then he settled in Dresden .

After being appointed as assessor of the Electoral Saxon Schöffenstuhl, Pincker returned to Leipzig. Here he was elected to the council in 1655. In the years 1655, 1658, 1661, 1664, 1667, 1670, 1673 and 1676 Pincker was mayor of Leipzig.

Pincker was most recently the Electoral Saxon Appellate Councilor .

He married Euphrosine Schütz, the second daughter of the Dresden conductor Heinrich Schütz . They had a daughter together, Gertraud Euphrosine, who married Johann Seydel.
