Christoph Sasse

Christoph Sasse (born September 6, 1930 in Berlin , † February 26, 1979 in Florence ) was a German legal scholar .

Life

He studied in Marburg . After graduating as Dr. iur. at the University of Marburg on June 26, 1957 and various activities (1963–1970) in the Commission of the European Communities, he taught from 1974 to 1978 as a professor for public law and European Community law in Hamburg . He belonged to the first generation of lecturers who wanted to set up a European university institute with the Badia Fiesolana in Fiesole . Sasse died in a traffic accident in Florence.
