Christoph Seibert

Christoph Seibert (* 1971 ) is a German Protestant theologian , religious philosopher and university professor.

Career

He studied Protestant theology (philosophy) in Heidelberg and Tübingen as a scholarship holder of the Protestant Studienwerk Villigst , where he received his doctorate in 2003 and habilitation in 2009 . From 2002 to 2009 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Ethics at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen , and from 2006 he was deputy head of the institute. With the Dr. He was awarded the Leopold-Lucas Young Scientist Prize in 2004. In the winter semester 2009/2010 he was a professor at the University of Tübingen. From 2010 to 2012 he was vicar of the Palatinate regional church and passed the second ecclesiastical exam at the regional church in Württemberg . Since April 2012 he has been teaching as a professor at the University of Hamburg . He was ordained in the North Church in 2013. Since February 2014 he has been a deputy member of the ethics committee for PID North.

His main research interests are fundamental questions of individual and social ethics, research on political ethics, research on the philosophy and religious theory of pragmatism, studies on anthropology and studies on theology and philosophy of modern times.
