Christoph Teichmann

Christoph Teichmann (born September 20, 1964 in Frankenthal (Pfalz) ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Würzburg .

Life

Teichmann is one of the two sons of Albrecht Teichmann, former managing director of the Evangelical Home Foundation Stuttgart, and Renate Teichmann. After graduating from high school in Künzelsau and doing military service, he initially completed vocational training as a banker from 1984 onwards . He then studied law at Saarland University and Heidelberg University . There he passed the First State Examination in 1992. In 1992/93, Teichmann received a scholarship from the DFG graduate college “Company organization and entrepreneurial activity according to German, European and international law” . In 1993 he was one of Peter Hommelhoff supervised work on the topic "The company group in the French labor" Dr. iur. PhD. After completing his legal clerkship in Hessen , Teichmann was a lawyer in Frankfurt am Main in 1997/98 .

In 1999 Teichmann became a research assistant to Peter Hommelhoff at the University of Heidelberg. At the same time, from 2002 he was a research assistant at the Center for Lawyer-Oriented Legal Training at the Law Faculty in Heidelberg. In December 2004, Teichmann completed his habilitation with an examination of "Internal Market-Compliant Corporate Law" . Then he was a university lecturer (C2) at the University of Heidelberg. After Visiting Professor at the University of Bielefeld , the University of Heidelberg and the University of Würzburg Teichmann took up an appointment at the University of Würzburg. On the other hand, he turned down a call to the University of Greifswald .

Since June 2007 Teichmann has held the chair for civil law, German and European commercial and company law at the University of Würzburg.
