Christoph Wilhelm Ferdinand von Degenfeld

Christoph Wilhelm Ferdinand von Degenfeld (born October 28, 1776 in Ehrstädt ; † May 25, 1831 in Mannheim ) was the landlord of Ehrstädt, Waibstadt , Unterbiegelhof and Wagenbach . He was a Baden and Bavarian cavalry master and royal Bavarian chamberlain .

Life

He was the oldest son of Christoph Ferdinand III. Friedrich von Degenfeld (1739–1812) and Dorothea Regina Eleonore von Stain zum Rechtenstein (1744–1799).

In 1813/14 he was a cavalry captain in the Bavarian voluntary hunter regiment, in 1816 mayor à la suite of the cavalry, in 1820 major and royal Bavarian chamberlain as well as a cavalry captain in the 1st dragoons regiment.

family

His first marriage was Friederike Sebastiane Philippina von Gemmingen-Guttenberg zu Bonfeld (1785–1811), the daughter of the later Bavarian State Minister Karl Friedrich Reinhard von Gemmingen . The first marriage had two sons. The mother died four days after the birth of the second son, who died ten days later from his head injuries sustained at birth. On February 18, 1812, Christoph Wilhelm married Theresa Wilhelmine Friederike Carolina von Closen († 1834) in Simmern, who gave birth to two more sons.
