Christoph on the Horst

Christoph auf der Horst (* 1961 in Düsseldorf ) is a German specialist in German and freelance work at the Institute for the History of Medicine at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . His research focus is on Heine philology; the literature of the Romantic period and the Vormärz ; Pathographies ; the history of science, as well as the history and theory of naturopathy.

Training and teaching

He studied from 1985 to 1988 at the University of Cologne . In the first degree in German studies, philosophy and theater, film and television studies, as well as in the second degree in history and German for teaching at secondary level I and II. From 1989 to 1991 he studied in France at the University of Blaise Pascal Clermont-Ferrand II and received there in 1991 the Maitrise d'Allemand degree . He then continued his studies at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, where he did his doctorate on Heinrich Heine .

After receiving his doctorate, he worked as a research assistant from 1999 to 2001 . From 2001 to 2003 he worked as a research assistant in the Dean's Office of the Medical Faculty of Heinrich Heine University. From 2003 to 2008 he was personal assistant to the rector of the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. Since 2008 he has been head of the university's Studium Universale. Since 2013 he has been the deputy head of the university building.
