Christoph von Trautmannsdorf (* around 1435 ; † November 16, 1480 in Seggauberg ) was Christoph I as Bishop of Seckau .

Christoph von Trautmannsdorf came from the Trauttmansdorff , a knightly family from Eastern Styria, which produced numerous Salzburg canons since the 15th century. From 1457 to 1458 he studied at the University of Vienna and was ordained a priest in 1467 by the Seckau bishop Georg Überacker . He became a canon in Salzburg, his brother Johann was abbot of Admont , another related canon in Vorau and first provost in Pöllau.

In 1477 Trautmannsdorf was elected and confirmed as Bishop of Seckau, and he was consecrated on May 4, 1477 by Salzburg's Archbishop Bernhard von Rohr . When Emperor Friedrich III. Forcing Rohr to resign in 1478, he sought protection from the Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus due to the threat of the Turks . Trautmannsdorf followed his archbishop on November 17, 1479. In the war between Friedrich III. and Corvinus, the diocese was largely captured by the Hungarians and the imperial troops. Leibnitz Castle and Seggau were occupied. Trautmannsdorf died in Seggau in 1480, his grave is unknown.
