Christopher Clay

Christopher C. Clay (born December 20, 1983 in Vienna ) is an Austrian - American start-up founder and politician of the Pirate Party .

Life

Christopher Clay grew up in Vienna. He studied information design at the FH Joanneum and was a co-founder of the Metalab in 2006 .

Clay is known as an integral part of the Austrian network scene, among other things he founded the start-up Soup.io, the startup wiki and the journalism project luminous flux.

In addition to these activities, he supported the online election campaign of the Liberal Forum in 2008 and the planned preferential vote campaign of the green politician Armin Soyka in 2010.

In 2012 he joined the Pirate Party of Austria , where he was a member of the federal board between October 2012 and May 2014. In the 2013 National Council election , he stood at number 5 for the Pirate Party and received 117 preferential votes. In the European elections the following year, Clay was active as press spokesman for the electoral alliance Europe , in which the Pirate Party of Austria also participated. Since mid-2014 he has been responsible for the press work of MEP Julia Reda .
