Christos Kittas

Christos Kittas ( Greek Χρήστος Κίττας , * 1946 in Larissa ) is a Greek doctor and was Minister of Health in the Pikrammenos cabinet .

Career

He studied medicine at the Kapodistrias University of Athens , which he graduated with a doctorate in medicine in 1975.

From 1983 he was assistant professor for pathology at the medical faculty of Athens University and from 1993 also lecturer for bryology and histology .

In 2006 he was appointed rector, but resigned in late 2009 after being critically injured in an armed attack.

He has published over 200 publications in various international magazines. He is now director of the Laboratory for Histology and Embryology .

On May 17, 2012 he was appointed Minister of Health in Greece.
