Christos Patsatzoglou ( Greek Χρήστος Πατσατζόγλου , born March 19, 1979 in Xanthi ) is a Greek football player .

Career

Patsatzoglou started his career with Aghia Eleousa . In 1996 he switched to Skoda Xanthi . After four years in Xanthi , he moved to Olympiacos in 2000 . At Olympiacos he became a regular player and won the Greek championship in 2001, 2002 and 2003. 2003 was hamstring injury with cortisone treatment could Then it came in so that the Greeks after the injury recover faster feet again and again to inflammation and Patsatzoglou was three years running no active football. From the 2006/07 season, the defender was again a regular player and was Greek champion in 2007 and 2008 and also Greek cup winner in 2008.

National team

Patsatzoglou took part in the U-21 European Football Championship in Switzerland in 2002 , where he was eliminated from the group bottom with the Greeks in the preliminary round.

He made his debut on September 2, 2000 in the Greek national football team , at the game against Germany, where he was substituted on. He was in the Greek squad for the 2008 European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland . In the game against Russia , which was lost 1-0, Patsatzoglou played through, but was otherwise not used, Greece was eliminated in the preliminary round as the bottom of the group. In 2010 he played his last international match so far.
