Chulabhorn Research Institute
The Chulabhorn Research Institute ( Thai : สถาบันวิจัย จุฬา ภร ณ์ , Chulabhorn Research Institute ) is a research institute in Lak Si , Bangkok ( Thailand ), which is particularly dedicated to biomedical and chemical research.
history
The institute was established in 1987 on the initiative of Princess Chulabhorn Walailak , the daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej , who is a qualified chemist.
2007 were Chulabhorn Cancer Center ( Chulabhorn Cancer Center ) and 2005, the Chulabhorn Graduate College opened as additional facilities.
tasks and goals
The real goal of the Chulabhorn Research Institute is the application of scientific methods and knowledge to improve the quality of life of the people in Thailand.
To this end, the institute brings together scientists from different disciplines and establishes contacts with domestic and foreign organizations and institutions to exchange knowledge and generate research funds. The institute maintains both basic science and application-oriented research.
