Church Gut is a so-called ghaut ( good ), an ephemeral body of water similar to a Fiumara , on St. Kitts , in the Caribbean island state of St. Kitts and Nevis .
geography
The river has its source south of St. Kitts, on the southern slope of Verchild's Peak . With several source streams it runs steeply to the south and soon flows into the Caribbean Sea at Saint Thomas Anglican Church , very close to the mouth of the neighboring Merrifield Gut .
