The Circle G Ranch is a property in Horn Lake , Mississippi , which is owned by 1,967 to 1,973 Elvis Presley was. The ranch covers approximately 62.5 acres and was put up for sale in 2009 for $ 6.5 million.

Horn Lake is a suburb of southern Memphis where Presley had his primary residence at Graceland in the southern borough of Whitehaven . Only the suburb of Southaven is between Whitehaven and Horn Lake , so the drive from Graceland to the Circle G Ranch only takes about ten minutes.

The Circle G Ranch is located in the southeast of the point where the Mississippi Highway 301 , which runs in north-south direction, and Goodman Road ( Highway 302 ), which runs between west and east, meet.

history

Elvis Presley bought the 163 acre large ranch in February 1967 after he had noticed in one of his rare trips in daylight on them. He spent his honeymoon with Priscilla on this property and in the tall grass of this property - just a few days after the wedding - she lost her wedding ring during a ride, which remained undetectable despite an extensive search.

Presley sold the property again in the late 1960s, but because the buyer owed the purchase price, it fell back into his ownership. In 1973 he finally managed to sell the ranch to a wealthy buyer. Contrary to the widespread rumor in the fan scene that the G awarded by Elvis stands for his Graceland estate, it is more likely that it was chosen in memory of his mother Gladys.
