Ciro Ferri

Ciro Ferri (born September 3, 1633 in Rome , † September 13, 1689 ibid) was an Italian painter , draftsman, sculptor and architect.

Ferri was a student of Pietro da Cortona and completed his frescoes in the Palazzo Pitti after his master left Florence . He later returned to Rome, where he worked as a painter and architect . He died there in 1689.

His manner is related to that of Cortona ; Roundish types, superficial colors and a bold hand characterize him.

His most extensive works are the biblical representations in the church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Bergamo . In addition, the are holy Maurus in Sant'Ambrogio della Massima and dome paintings in Sant'Agnese worth to Rome, the Corbellini by Ferris completed death.
