The CityCube Berlin is an exhibition hall of Messe Berlin . The building is on the corner of Jafféstraße and Messedamm in the Westend district of Berlin , in the immediate vicinity of the south entrance of the exhibition center . With an area of ​​around 12,000 m², the CityCube Berlin replaces the use of the International Congress Center (ICC) and covers the steadily growing space requirements of its own leading trade fairs such as IFA , Fruit Logistica , InnoTrans , ITB and Green Week . The laying of the foundation stone took place in July 2012, the opening was planned for March 2014 and finally took place on May 5, 2014. The building consists of two levels, each 6,015 m²: The column-free hall on the upper level with a height of up to twelve meters offers space for up to 5000 people and can be used for large plenary halls, exhibitions, concerts or caterings, while the lower level Up to eight conference rooms for 400 to 3000 people each and / or exhibition space can be created using flexible partition walls . There are also eight additional conference rooms with flexible partition walls for 50 to 300 people each and 47 other smaller rooms. The hall has direct connections to the conference rooms in exhibition hall 7 and to exhibition halls 2 and 4 as additional exhibition space. With the S-Bahn station Messe Süd, the CityCube has a connection to the S-Bahn network and to the BVG bus line 349.
