City Church

Citykirche is an ecumenical and low-threshold project of individual urban parishes of different denominations with the aim of motivating passers-by to visit the building. So called, they are at the same time " parish church, event church, youth church, academy church, offer church, profile church, citizen church, diakonie church, concert church, cultural church" . As Citykirche project such projects are referred to in the city center, which can be pronounced differently under structural aspects such. B. as a church shop, extension to an important church or as an independent pavilion. Such institutions also exist abroad, for example the Oecumenisch Citypastoraat in Enschede .
