Ciudad del Fútbol
The Ciudad del Fútbol (Spanish for soccer city ) is the training ground opened in 2003 as well as the seat of the Spanish Football Association . It is located in the municipality of Las Rozas , about 24 kilometers northwest of Madrid . The sports facility was designed by the architects Arquitectos Ayala .
construction
The headquarters of the Spanish Association, the museum of the national team , a sports hall, dormitories for athletes, an event and conference center, a medical center and five soccer fields are located on the 12 hectare area . The two venues to the south, one with natural grass and an eight-lane running track and one with artificial turf as a playing area, have covered grandstands with a capacity for around 1,400 spectators each and are also used for various competitions, including games by the women's national team .
Location and public transport
The Ciudad del Fútbol is located in the municipality of Las Rozas on Ramón y Cajal street . It can be reached by car via the A-6 autovía and the Madrid M-50 ring road . Near the sports facility is the Pinar (de las Rozas) station , where the C-3, C-8 and C-10 lines of the Cercanías Madrid stop. In addition, the Ciudad del Fútbol can be reached via the bus lines 620, 625, 628, 629 and 685.
