Clare Lotto

Cläre Lotto , also Claire Lotto or Kläry Lotto , (born March 23, 1893 in Casekow , † August 26, 1952 in Berlin ) was a German dancer and actress .

Life

Cläre Lotto was trained as a dancer at the Vienna Hofburg , danced in Vienna , Budapest and Moscow and then went to Berlin.

She appeared in a number of - often Hungarian - films. In 1920 she met the actor Carl de Vogt in Berlin , whom she later married. Her early films were made under the direction of Michael Curtiz , and she appeared in many with Bela Lugosi . The meeting with Carl de Vogt was followed by a large number of joint film projects.
