Clément Fabre (born May 19, 1989 in Rodez ) is a French football player .

Career

Fabre, who is deployed in defensive midfield in addition to his traditional role as a central defender , was trained as a youth at the eastern French club Grenoble Foot before joining FC Tours in 2008 . In this he made his debut in the French second division when he was substituted on on May 29, 2009 in a 2-0 defeat against CS Sedan in the 86th minute. The player, who was just 20 years old at the time of his first appearance, became an integral part of the professional team. Nevertheless, it initially remained with sporadic missions before he was called up more regularly from 2011, even if he did not get a permanent place. As a result, his contract was extended long-term to 2015 in 2012. With the team he usually achieved placements in the secured midfield of the table. In the spring of 2013 he was out for a longer period of time due to injury and was still injured when the team got a new coach in the following summer in Olivier Pantaloni . He found his way back into the team under this, but was rarely on the field.

In view of the little match experience he still got at Tours, he was awarded in January 2014 to relegation-threatened second division rivals CA Bastia from the island of Corsica . With the Corsicans he was an integral part of the first team and could not avoid relegation at the end of the season. Nevertheless, he wanted to continue his involvement in Bastia and Tours let him go on a free transfer in summer 2014. With the CA, Fabre had to accept another fall in the fourth division in 2015 and a little later accepted a contract offer from the Belgian second division AFC Tubize . Two years later he switched to Oud-Heverlee Löwen , where he was not used often due to various injuries. In January 2019 Fabre then moved on to third division club RWD Molenbeek 47 .
