Claes Christian Crasemann

Claes Christian Crasemann (born April 15, 1801 in Hamburg ; † June 13, 1887 there ) was a Hamburg merchant and member of parliament.

Life

Crasemann began an apprenticeship at Parish & Co in 1815 and stayed with the company until 1827. From 1834 he ran a trading company with his brother Christoph Adolph Crasemann under the company name CA Crasemann , from which he left in 1872.

Crasemann worked as a judge at the lower court from 1848 to 1854 and as a commercial judge from 1852 to 1854. From 1855 on, Crasemann was a member of the Commerzdeputation , which he headed in 1860 as president. In this capacity he and Adolph Soetbeer took part in negotiations in Magdeburg in 1860 to lift the Elbe tariffs . Crasemann belonged to the Hamburg citizenship from 1859 to 1865 .

Crasemann was married to Emma Polliz (November 13, 1810 - March 25, 1887), Rudolph Crasemann was his son.
