Press reviews

“The human voice is an instrument without a pedal or keys, an excellent vibrator without manuals or other aids. But in order to sing emotionally, to use the resonance without giving the feeling of forcing, to pronounce well, to possess the secrets of technique, style and musicality, that is a quality of the really few general qualities. Claire Frühling-Gerlach had this natural gift in abundance. She not only sang well, i. H. with 'school', with excellent expression, with a well-conducted, colorful voice, but let us, regardless of whether she sings an aria or a song, empathize with the aesthetic and pure content and value of the work of art. Few sopranos and singers in general will interpret their musical gifts better than they can "

- Pablo Garrido , Bogotá, Colombia, 1956

“After seven years of tireless work as a singing professor at our conservatory, Ms. Claire Frühling-Gerlach said goodbye in a recital. It would often mean repeating what has been said. Frau Frühling-Gerlach was a singer who combined everything. Technique and clean intonation are a matter of course for her and so she puts her beautiful, shining, silvery soprano at the service of expression, which she presents to us in many colors and dynamic balance. We hope that Ms. Frühling-Gerlach will 'only' recover in her home country and that she will delight us with her art and voice-training work for years to come. "

- Igor, Cali, Colombia, 1958

“[…] Claire Frühling-Gerlach was particularly impressed by the careful and thoughtful treatment of the lyrics, which are of particular importance in the song. Hindemith's pieces went particularly well for the singer: the motet 'Nuptiae factae sunt' and six songs from the life of Mary "
