Claire Williams , OBE (born July 21, 1976 in Windsor , England ) is Deputy Team Principal of the Williams Formula 1 racing team . She is the daughter of team principal Frank Williams .

Career

Williams graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in political science in 1999 and took on the job of press secretary for the Silverstone Circuit a year later . In 2002 she joined her father's team and began her career in the communications department, which she became head of in 2010. After Williams went public in 2011, Claire also took on the role of Head of Investor Relations . On April 1, 2012, Williams was promoted to head of marketing and communications and joined the racing team's board of directors. On March 27, 2013, Claire Williams was introduced as the new Deputy Team Principal. Initially, she focused on securing the budget, and later took over essential parts of the operational business.

Private

Claire Williams is married. She gave birth to her first child in October 2017.
