The Clarke Glacier (also known as the Clarke Barrier ) is an 8-kilometer Antarctic glacier that runs east on the Scottish Coast of the Victoria Land, north of Lewandowski Point . On the lake side, it flows together with the ice masses of the Davis Glacier and other glacier ice masses coming from the south, which together flow into the Ross Sea between Cape Reynolds and Lamplugh Island .
The glacier was discovered by participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909) under the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton . It is named after Rupert Clarke (1865-1926), one of the private financiers of the expedition, who is also the namesake of Mount Clarke in Antarctica .
