The Cape Reynolds is an ice-covered, rocky towering Cape at the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located on the northwest bank of Geikie Inlet and marks the southern flank of the transition from David Glacier to Drygalski Ice Tongue .
Participants in the Nimrod Expedition (1907-1909), led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, discovered it. It is named after the American publicist and adventurer Jeremiah N. Reynolds (1799-1858), who developed the idea of an expedition to the South Pole in the 1830s.
